Many years ago I chose to actively engage in personal growth, and it messed up my life.
It took me on a journey that changed me and it forced me to leave my old self behind. It made me step out of my comfort zone when I didn’t want to; it pushed me to do things I never thought of or really wanted to do. It challenged me everyday instead of letting me be.
It messed me up so bad that now that I look back I wonder who that guy was. It messed me up so much that it changed me to who I needed to be.
This is a list of things it took me through, just a partial list of the transformation.
Honestly I don’t know how I could ever go back.
1. From being stagnant to growing
2. Having fear to having belief
3. Being comfortable to stretching myself
4. Saying I can’t to saying I can
5. Sitting in the stands to playing in the game
6. From wishing I had to setting goals (Dreaming big)
7. Scarcity mentality to abundance mentality
8. Wasting time to investing time
9. Job mentality to entrepreneur mentality
10. Entitlement to generously giving
11.Thinking I know it all to being a student (lifelong learner)
12. Negative to positive
13. Avoiding failure to realizing failure is a learning experience
14. I deserve this to being grateful
15. I’m too busy to prioritizing time
16. From books are not for me to reading everyday from books that move me forward.
17. Living in my past to living in the moment
18. What can others do for me to adding value
19. Wanting success to pursuing significance
20. I can do it all myself to a contributor and a collaborator (team player)
21. Listening to negative association to having a mentor
22. Living through my feelings to living through my values
23. Making a living to making a life
24. No priorities to vertical alignment
25. Family leisure to family legacy
One of the greatest things I’ve done is changing how I think.
